Until the divorce, you probably thought that your family would always be together. You probably took for granted that both mom and dad would always be there at the dinner table every night. Now mom and dad may be living in different houses, even different towns. Maybe you hardly ever even see a parent who tucked you into bed every single night of your life before the divorce. All the changes that come with divorce can shake up your world. It can lead some kids to wonder….WILL ANYTHING EVER BE THE SAME AGAIN?
Things will never be exactly like they were before your parents divorced. But some of the MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IN YOUR LIFE WILL STAY THE SAME. Your mom and dad will always be your mom and dad— their love for you will always stay the same. Your grandmas, grandpas, and other relatives will all still be a part of your family—their love for you will always stay the same. It is true that divorce changes many things but it will never change your family's love for you.
