Vitamins are natural substances that help your body with important tasks like growing and healing. Without them, your body can’t work properly

Even though you need them, your body can’t get all of its necessary vitamins unless you give them to it! Do you have any idea how your body might get all of its vitamins, if it can’t make them on its own? The answer is by what you eat!

The fruits and vegetables that we eat are filled with vitamins! Different fruits and veggies provide different vitamins that help your body with specific things. For example, Vitamin A is found in foods such as carrots and leafy greens and is responsible for keeping your eyesight in good health. Vitamin C is found in foods like peppers and citrus fruits, and helps you fight off germs and sicknesses in addition to being good for your teeth!

Sometimes, the grown-ups in your family might also have you take vitamins in the form of a pill or a chewable tablet. Even though many experts agree that it’s best to get your vitamins and other nutrients from a healthy diet, taking a supplement as well can help make sure there aren’t any that you’re missing!

Vinny Valentino's Verse about Vegetables & Vitamins!

Vinny Valentino was a very vibrant boy
He liked playing, he liked learning… even chores he did enjoy!
But when it came to eating veggies little Vinny fell behind
He ate them when he had to, but they were silly in his mind!

But what Vinny didn't know was that veggies helped him grow--
Filled with vitamins and minerals, they aren't just there for show!
When he found out their importance Vinny quickly reassessed
Immediately he ate them all and never did protest!

The funny thing that Vinny started finding quite a lot
Was that veggies were more tasty than he'd previously thought!
Being happy that he'd learned and tried those veggies one more time
Little Vinny sat right down to write about it in this rhyme!
