You probably hear a lot about bears eating honey, and maybe you’ve wondered if it’s actually true!? What about honey does a bear like so much??
The rumors about bears liking honey are true! Bears do enjoy a snack of honey when they can find a hive, in spite of the challenge of swarming bees that come with it! That’s because bears are also known to eat bees and because bears are pretty well protected from stings thanks to their thick hair and skin.
In addition to bees and honey, bears also eat foods like berries and other fruit, nuts, seeds, leaves, grass, fish, and other small animals.

There are many different kinds of bears. How many can you name? Some good ideas include black bears, grizzly bears, and polar bears! Did you also name koala bears? In spite of their name, koalas aren’t really bears. But they sure are cute and cuddly like another kind of bear… the teddy bear!
