At the end of the day, you’re probably pretty tired and you feel ready to get some sleep. There might even be times during the day when you feel tired and you want to take a nap. But babies seem to sleep a lot more than you do, don’t they?

One reasons babies sleep a lot is because they are doing a lot of growing, and to grow properly, the body needs lots of rest. Another reason babies sleep a lot (and often during the day) is that they’re getting used to daytime and nighttime! Babies also sleep throughout the day and the night because they rarely sleep for long stretches at a time since they usually wake up every few hours to eat – they need plenty to eat to help with all the growing and developing that is taking place!

Dream a little dream…

You probably have a lot of dreams at night when you sleep. Do you remember them? Try keeping a “dream diary” for a little while by drawing a picture of your dreams when you wake up in the morning! But make sure you do it right away -- you might think you'll remember the dream, but most people forget their dreams after just a few minutes of being awake!
