What's it worth?
It might be hard at first to think about things that are worth more than any amount of money, but being “priceless” is another way of saying that something is just tremendously special!
What are some things in your own life that are priceless? Your family and friends, the one-of-a-kind blanket your grandma knitted that you sleep with every night, or a really special picture someone drew for you would all be good examples of things that are worth so much to you that no amount of money could possibly buy them!
The world is full of amazing things that are considered to be worth of lots of money, such as famous paintings, expensive cars, big houses in nice places, rare jewels, historical items, and many, many more!
The things that are valued as “most expensive” are changing all the time because new things are being invented or given new values. In truth, most of the world's most valuable and expensive things are actually worth so much that they are considered “priceless,” which means that their worth is too great for an amount of money!
One good example of this is the crown jewels of England – they're estimated to be worth nearly 40 million dollars, although truly even that much money could not buy their value! Another good example is famous artwork such as the Mona Lisa. Many experts say the Mona Lisa is worth over $600 million dollars, but the Louvre museum in France would never sell the painting because it is considered too valuable for any amount of money!
