A special factory was built in the town of Arnot, Hungary just so the book could be created, and the Vargas had 25 helpers who worked together to make this project possible!
Can you hold your favorite book in your hands? What if your favorite book were bigger than you are?! If this book happened to be about the Aggtelek National Park in the country of Hungary and had father and son Bela and Gabor Varga as its authors, you would be trying to lift a written work that weighs more than 3,130 pounds and 9 ounces—that’s more than 1 and ½ tons!
According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the Vargas’ creation is the largest book in the world! Entitled Our Fragile Natural Heritage, this book is 13.71 x 12.36 feet and is filled with 346 pages!
