Lovely Thoughts
In the musical theatre version of Peter Pan, when a person is sprinkled with fairy dust, they have to "think lovely thoughts" in order to fly. The positive thoughts actually help to lift them off the ground. What would your lovely thoughts be? A day at the beach? Ice cream? No homework?
They won't make you fly of course, but how do they make you feel?
Fairies are magical flying creatures. In stories, in movies and on TV, you might see them carrying around a small bag of fairy dust, or pixie dust, that they sprinkle on people. The fairy dust gives non-fairies the ability fly!
The most well-known sprinkler of fairy dust is the character of Tinker Bell in the story of Peter Pan. In the Disney movie and in many Disney logos, she and her trail of fairy dust can be seen flying through the sky. Fairy dust also helps the Darling Children: Wendy, Michael and John, fly with Peter Pan to Never Never Land.
