Kids, especially when they are young and especially right after a divorce, sometimes feel more comfortable with one parent or the other--often the parent they live with most of the time.

You may feel sad or even a little scared when you have to say good bye to that parent when you go to visit your other parent. That is a natural feeling and nothing to feel bad about. It doesn't mean you love one parent more or that you are choosing one over the other.

Draw a picture that shows how you feel when you say good bye to someone you love. Show it to that person. Tell them what the drawing means to you.

Make a list of things that make you feel better when you are sad. For example: hugs, a special toy, talking to a loved one, reading a book, taking a nap.
