ExplorationNow it’s your turn to be a paleontologist! Removing a fossil from the ground takes a lot of work. The next time you’re digging in your backyard and find a rock or other underground treasure worth excavating, see if you can carefully dig it out without causing any damage. Use an old toothbrush to sweep dirt away. Can you gently use your digging tool to free your find from the ground? Once it’s out, draw a picture of your discovery and see if you can identify it! Happy digging!
